Infoblox to be Featured at VMworld® 2012

Infoblox Featured in Hands-on Labs and Panel Presentations

Infoblox Inc. (NYSE: BLOX) today announced that Infoblox and its automated network control solutions will be featured at VMworld® 2012, August 22-30 in San Francisco and October 9-11 in Barcelona.

Infoblox’s presence at the show demonstrates the integration between VMware virtualization and cloud solutions and Infoblox’s automated IP Address Management (IPAM) services. Infoblox offers VMware customers greater automation, scalability and availability of networks supporting virtual and private cloud environments.

Parag Patel, Vice President, Global Strategic Alliances at VMware, commented: “Infoblox systems deliver essential network services, closing the gap between server automation tools and network automation requirements to enable faster deployment of cloud environments and better overall IT agility. Infoblox has the technology integration and systems to address the demands of today’s virtual networks.”

David Gee, Infoblox Executive Vice President of Marketing, added: “The increase in private cloud adoption is creating a strong need for enterprise-class cloud network automation; our joint work with VMware and integrations with VMware vCloud Director® address this critical issue in a simple to deploy and highly effective package. As a VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) since 2007, our joint customers can take full advantage of a streamlined virtualization and cloud infrastructure experience.”

According to a recent test by the Tolly Group, a provider of information technology research and product evaluations, the automated Infoblox IP address management (IPAM) solution for VMware can offer enterprise IT organizations with large VMware virtualized networks a labor savings of up to 300%. The savings is achieved through automation of several network functions, such as automatic assignment of an IP address to a virtual machine, that are traditionally performed manually and can delay or stall virtual machine (VM) deployments.

To see Infoblox’s IPAM solution for VMware firsthand, visit the hand-on labs available to all show attendees and the Infoblox booth (#823 August 26-30 in San Francisco or # E615 October 9-11 in Barcelona).
