Infoblox CEO Robert Thomas and EVP Steve Nye to Speak at 2011 Signal Hill Technology Conference

Infoblox Inc. today announced the Company’s CEO and President Robert Thomas and Executive Vice President of Product Strategy and Corporate Development, Steve Nye, will present at the inaugural Signal Hill Technology Conference in New York City, March 9, 2011, which has an overall theme of Cloud Computing.

The conference has been designed to provide attendees a comprehensive understanding of the Cloud by bringing together chief-level executives to discuss how the Cloud is altering the way business models operate. The show will also delve into the critical characteristics that distinguish the companies most likely to outperform as they take advantage of this technology trend that is quickly gaining widespread adoption.

As a network infrastructure automation and control solution provider that has more than 4,750 enterprise customers, including more than 210 of the Global 500, Infoblox is uniquely positioned to articulate how virtualization and cloud computing are changing the fundamental approach to the core of IT: the network infrastructure.

Thomas will present details of Infoblox’s unique positioning, business and market opportunities. Nye will participate in a panel addressing issues related to how the adoption of cloud-based architectures will shape infrastructure demand and vendor relationships.

Nye commented, “With the growing adoption of virtualization and cloud computing, which essentially deliver resources and applications on demand for end users, many IT departments are being forced to take a closer look at their legacy manual and custom scripted systems that put a wrench in the real-time and dynamic fluidity of these initiatives. Automation at the network infrastructure level is the key to ensuring that the real-time demands of the users and the business, compliance demands and performance requirements are met. I look forward to exploring the business implications and advantages of the newest infrastructure automation and control technologies that serve as the necessary foundation for virtualization and cloud computing.”

Infoblox pioneered development of appliance-based and integrated domain name resolution (DNS), IP address assignment (DHCP) and management (IPAM) solutions. Infoblox is also the inventor and sole provider of Infoblox Grid™ technology, which links a collection of appliances into a unified, centrally-managed platform that provides significant advantages for service resilience, scalability, real-time manageability and data integrity.

In the past year, Infoblox acquired network change and configuration (NCCM) capabilities. The combination of the Company’s leading DNS, DHCP, IPAM, NCCM and unique Grid technologies will provide state-of-the-art functionality that gives enterprises more visibility, control and automation across their network infrastructures.
