Agenda
In this session, Willem Redelijkheid will share insights from a real-world security transformation at large Dutch municipalities. These municipality transitioned to Threat Defense, uncovering significant blind spots in their DNS traffic. He will explain how DNS monitoring—rather than endpoint tracking—revealed malicious activity without compromising personal data. After a security workshop, the municipalities realized they had no visibility into DNS traffic, which turned out to be largely malicious. By implementing monitoring, they saw a dramatic reduction in malware, alerts, and incident tickets—proving the impact of DNS-layer security. Willem will walk through:
- Real examples of DNS requests linked to malicious traffic
- How easy it is to implement
- API Driven
- How logs are collected and used
- What visibility looks like
