Infoblox has launched Infoblox IQ and introduced a Model Context Protocol server for its networking and security products to bring network, security and asset data into AI-driven operational workflows.

In the rural heartlands of China, farmers overfeed their pigs to keep them blissfully unaware of the blade and ensure harvest of the best quality meats. That logic has found an unsettling parallel online.

Based in Bangkok, Thailand, John is a seasoned threat intelligence researcher who has spent his career following cybercriminal activity in the Southeast Asia region. Recently, his work at Infoblox has focused on pig butchering as a service, exposing sophisticated global money laundering, human trafficking and slave operations in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and the Philippines.

It often starts with convenience. An employee downloads an artificial intelligence (AI) tool promising to triage emails and automate routine responses. Within minutes, it is connected to the company’s inbox, quietly ingesting data, learning workflows and acting on the user’s behalf. Just like that, the company has hired a new shadow employee – off payroll, completely hidden and dangerously unpredictable.

The Linux Foundation has announced a new open-source project designed to enable AI agents to communicate with and discover one another in a standardized manner. The project, called DNS-AID, uses the internet’s existing Domain Name System (DNS) as the basis for a decentralized agent discovery system.

Infoblox, a leader in hybrid, multi‑cloud networking and pre‑emptive security, and GoDaddy Inc., a global leader in domain registration and internet infrastructure, have announced support for complementary open standards designed to help Artificial Intelligence (AI) agents identify, discover, and verify one another across the open web.

Infoblox, a leader in hybrid, multi-cloud networking and preemptive security, and GoDaddy Inc., a global leader in domain registration and internet infrastructure, have announced support for complementary open standards designed to help AI agents identify, discover and verify one another across the open web.

Infoblox, a company that has spent decades managing DNS for enterprise networks, and GoDaddy, the domain registrar that controls roughly 80 million domain names, announced this week that they are jointly backing two complementary open standards designed to give AI agents a verifiable identity and make them discoverable across the open web. The initiatives, called DNS-AID and Agent Name Service (ANS), are both built on DNS rather than any proprietary database or centralized platform. The argument is elegant, and the timing is deliberate.

Infoblox and GoDaddy are jointly announcing two additional open standards that enable AI agents to identify, locate, and verify themselves on the open web. DNS forms the technical foundation. Both companies are calling on cloud and platform providers to join the joint standardization effort within the IETF.

As excitement builds around the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup, cybersecurity experts are warning fans about the growing risks associated with unofficial streaming platforms and low-cost connected TV devices marketed as “free” alternatives for accessing live sports content.
