What is a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS)?

PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards): Any merchant accepting credit, debit, or prepaid cards must prove compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS).
