Design for the Outage You Haven't Had Yet: A Multi-Cloud DNS and Network Observability Roundtable

Wednesday, November 18
9 am SGT | 12 pm AEDT | 2 pm NZDT

Learn how to identify cloud-wide outage impact and strengthen resilience planning across hybrid environments.

In hybrid, multi-cloud environments, the most damaging outages are the ones teams didn’t plan for. A stale DNS record, an unannounced IP address management (IPAM change or an unavailable cloud control plane can cascade across cloud boundaries, resulting in business-halting impact. But while a single issue can have cascading impacts well outside of the silo it lives in, the tools responders use to address those issues are often too siloed to respond effectively. Cloud-native tools can tell you a service is down, but not how traffic is actually moving between VPCs, regions and providers. So the first hour goes to working out where the problem is, not fixing it.

In this roundtable, practitioners from network observability, resilience architecture, and enterprise IT walk through three outage scenarios. For each one, they explain what they look for before, during and after the incident. That includes how VPC flow data, paired with DNS and infrastructure changes, shows what really broke and how far it spread. This is not a product demo. It’s a candid conversation about how to see a failure, understand it and prevent the next one.

Why attend

  • Find out which DNS, IPAM and traffic dependencies resilience planning most often misses
  • Learn how cloud network telemetry helps tell DNS failures apart from routing, application or cloud-provider failures
  • See where cloud-native monitoring leaves visibility gaps across hybrid environments
  • Take away a framework for deciding what to centralize, replicate or isolate
