RADIUSone™ Package
RELIABLE AND SECURE AAA SERVICES OUT OF THE BOX
Available on the Infoblox-1000 hardened core network services appliance running the Infoblox NIOS™ core network services operating system Version 2, the RADIUSone™ package provides the foundation for next-generation core network services in a secure and easy-to-manage implementation. The appliance design and intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) simplify the application and administration of network AAA services. RADIUSone works with existing enterprise network-access equipment from a variety of vendors out of the box, and it easily scales and adapts to meet future network requirements. Benefits and Features
Keeps RADIUS Secure
Because RADIUS is an authentication protocol that grants access to critical network resources, it is imperative that it be deployed securely. Infoblox’s secure appliance approach (no open ports or user log-in accounts and one-button upgrades) ensures that customers wishing to deploy RADIUSone inside or outside the firewall don’t need to take any special security precautions.
A simple-to-configure RADIUS server minimizes the headaches associated with managing networkaccess security. Unlike other RADIUS servers, RADIUSone is a true appliance and doesn’t require system or database administration, which decreases its complexity and total cost of ownership. The Web-based GUI is delivered directly from the appliance itself and can be run on any web browser. RADIUSone logs all network access and authentication activity, providing a security audit trail, accounting data for departmental charge-backs, and important information for network diagnostics. All information is logged in industry-standard formats. Out-of-the-Box Interoperability The RADIUSone package operates as a fully standards-compliant RADIUS server. It supports a wide variety of authentication protocols for interoperability with clients and network devices of all kinds, including routers, switches, wireless switches and controllers, firewall/VPN devices, and many other types of networking equipment. RADIUSone can also authenticate users against many types of external user databases, including Active Directory, eDirectory, LDAP, and SecurID. RADIUSone enables user authentication via Microsoft’s Active Directory without requiring any additional client or domain controller software. PRIMARY APPLICATIONs
Wireless LAN Authentication Wireless LAN (“Wi-Fi”) security standards require the use of a RADIUS authentication server. Using an Infoblox RADIUSone appliance for the job reduces administrative complexity and costs, because Infoblox supports all industry Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) algorithms and vendor-specific attributes.
