This tool was developed as a collaboration between our CTO Stuart Bailey and Professor Robert Grossman of the University of Chicago, and is being released as open source. It should be available next month adn will be distributed through the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/flowforwarding.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">FlowForwarding<\/a>.org\u00a0website.<\/p>\n<div>\u201cFor the first time in the history of the networking industry, it is becoming clear that complexity rather than bandwidth is the barrier to network growth,\u201d said Bailey. \u201cToday, discussions about network complexity focus on the tangle of wires and boxes, rather than the relationship of business processes to an increasingly large, dynamic, and shared global IT infrastructure.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cThe rapid change in network technology \u2013 including virtualization, cloud, big data and machine-to-machine communications \u2013 make it essential to look at a bigger picture,\u201d Bailey continued. \u201cWe hope Tapestry and the ideas on which the NCI is built will start a vigorous conversation on the future of IT networks.
