Infoblox just put out a\u00a0press release<\/a>\u00a0announcing an important new addition to our leadership team: Alan Conley is joining us as chief technology officer.<\/p>\n

Alan is a brilliant engineer, technologist, and business leader who will play a key role in setting our technology strategy. He has deep experience in networking, cloud, and operations from his time at Cisco and, more recently, Zenoss.<\/p>\n

Alan\u2019s arrival is especially good news for me, because I\u2019m moving into my dream job. For many years, I\u2019ve been the CTO of Infoblox while also leading our research program looking into the future of networking. With the networking industry at the tipping point of a massive transformation from hardware-based to software-based systems, I\u2019m eager to pass the CTO baton to Alan and devote all my time and energy to research, with a new title of chief scientist.<\/p>\n

In short, I\u2019m going to live in the future full time. Not to worry, though. I plan on sending back frequent reports to those of you stuck in the present. So stay tuned!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
