The acquisition of IID makes Infoblox the first enterprise-grade DDI vendor to combine contextual network data with federated threat intelligence and a dedicated threat research team, to provide context-aware security using infrastructure that customers already have in place.<\/p>\n<p>To put it simply, we intend to make it easier for enterprises to integrate actionable cyberthreat data directly into their network devices, enabling them to go from threat discovery to enforcement and mitigation in seconds.<\/p>\n<p>One piece of coverage that I\u2019m particularly excited to share is a research note from International Data Coporation (IDC), a leading independent technology research firm. In the report, \u201c<a class=\" bf_ungated_init\" href=\"https:\/\/www.infoblox.com\/sites\/infobloxcom\/files\/resources\/infoblox-solution-note-idc-note-on-infoblox-acquisition-of-iid.pdf?utm_source=blox-community&amp;utm_campaign=community-q2&amp;utm_medium=blox-community\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Infoblox Moves into the Threat Intelligence Space with the Acquisition of IID<\/a>,\u201d IDC analysts Christina Richmond and Dan Yachin assessed the technical and business implications of the acquisition. Here\u2019s an excerpt:<\/p>\n<p><em>In today\u2019s hybrid environment and increasingly complex threat landscape, the enterprise struggles for actionable visibility to detect and thwart unknown attacks. The acquisition of IID enhances Infoblox\u2019s market leading DDI solution by adding threat intelligence, which Infoblox contextualizes through research and analytics. The company\u2019s centralized hybrid network configuration and management solution further provides visibility across what is a very challenging architecture for security professionals.
