Similarly, women fill just<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><u>\u00a0<a class=\" bf_ungated_init\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncwit.org\/sites\/default\/files\/resources\/btn_03232017_web.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">20% of CIO positions<\/a><\/u><\/span>. And this is despite the fact that the majority of the professional workforce in the US is female\u00a0<u><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">(<\/span><\/u><a class=\" bf_ungated_init\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncwit.org\/sites\/default\/files\/resources\/btn_03232017_web.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><u><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">57%)<\/span><\/u>.<\/a>\u00a0We in the industry all know it and see it every day: the tech industry has a major gender gap.<\/p>\n<p>But that doesn\u2019t mean we can\u2019t do something about it. To begin to systematically address this imbalance at Infoblox, we are excited to announce that we\u2019ve launched a new initiative called the Women\u2019s Internal Network (WIN).<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of Infoblox WIN is to increase woman representation at Infoblox. With strong executive team\u00a0backing, we are building an internal support system to attract, retain and promote women in the workplace. This is important not only from a workplace-equity standpoint, but is also good business. Numerous studies show that companies with gender balance are more innovative, have higher retention rates and productivity, resulting in stronger financial performance.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how we\u2019ll do it: the Infoblox WIN initiative will focus on supporting female employees, as well as specifically developing talent in areas where we are under-represented in technical, sales and senior leadership roles. Efforts will include quarterly speaker events, a formal mentoring program, a senior-level leadership development program, an annual women\u2019s summit and other events. This approach is in keeping with our overall corporate strategy of building our own talent through employee development, mentoring and promoting from within so that all employees can thrive.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Get involved<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>How can all Infobloxers become involved with Infoblox WIN? First, spread the word among Infoblox colleagues. Then, recruit! Refer female colleagues to apply for job opportunities they\u2019re interested in. Invite them to WIN events. Female Infobloxers, you can volunteer to be on committees and\/or be a mentor in the mentoring program.<\/p>\n<p>Together we can create a workforce that is more diverse and inclusive, making the workplace more equitable for everyone \u2013 and boost business at the same time.
