Back in 1995, the words “content is king” were uttered by Bill Gates. \u00a0He was referring to the proliferation of the web and what would drive the success of this new found communication channel. \u00a0A community is no different – “Content is king,” but I would add, “so is participation and engagement.”<\/p>\n

This week’s Tip & Trick is simple, but often over-looked. \u00a0Before you can jump into the conversation, you’ll need to take one final step before you can begin posting content, downloading files, or engaging in the community; “Verify Your Account.”<\/p>\n

Once you’ve created your account, you’ll receive an email asking you to click a link\/verify, which helps eliminate bots from creating fictitious accounts on the site. \u00a0You’ll receive the verification email within a few minutes. \u00a0Once you’ve clicked the link, you’re ready to jump in and participate on the site.<\/p>\n
