Over the past year, we collaborated on a set of integrations that give enterprise network and security teams enhanced, measurable control over their Google Cloud environments. This post walks through what each integration does, and who it can help.<\/p>\n

Most enterprise IT teams manage multiple environments simultaneously: on-premises data centers, branch offices, multiple clouds, and a growing inventory of devices and workloads that are constantly changing.<\/p>\n

Further, when DNS records, IP address space, and security policies are spread across different systems, blind spots can appear. As a result, organizations may be forced to reconcile data manually, chase IP conflicts after outages, and apply security policies unevenly.<\/p>\n

Universal DDI with Cloud WAN Integration<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the past, connecting branch offices and remote sites meant managing several MPLS circuits, hardware appliances, and WAN solutions. Each site needed its own DNS and DHCP infrastructure, and you had to manually coordinate changes, wasting time and money.<\/p>\n

You can activate the service directly in the Google Cloud console, with no extra infrastructure or management tools. DNS Armor works quickly and processes DNS traffic with a 0.0002% false-positive rate. On average, it blocks attacks 68 days earlier than other solutions<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Without DNS-layer security, threats that could potentially compromise your workloads go undetected. DNS Armor catches threats during the query, before a connection is ever established. In its preview phase alone, the Infoblox service has analyzed billions of DNS queries across Google Cloud regions and surfaced millions of threats. For security teams already stretched thin, that kind of early detection at that scale can change everything about how you respond.<\/p>\n

Infoblox integration with Google Security Operations<\/strong><\/p>\n

Security operations teams face a different kind of problem: too many alerts, too little context, and tools that do not share data. Lack of context in SIEM leads to longer incident response times. By the time an analyst investigates, the damage is often done.<\/p>\n

The Infoblox integration with Google Security Operations helps to change that. Infoblox Threat Defense provides additional threat detections and asset data directly into the security operations platform, where enriched DDI asset data\u2014device, user, IP address\u2014gives analysts immediate context. Infoblox IQ for Threat Defense applies AI-driven correlation to streamline high volumes of repetitive security alerts into a manageable set of distinct, actionable insights. Prebuilt Infoblox playbooks in Google Security Operations then map each insight to a defined response and trigger it automatically.<\/p>\n

IP Internal Range Integration<\/strong><\/p>\n

Google Cloud\u2019s internal range resource<\/strong><\/a> lets you reserve and protect IP address blocks for VPC networks. However, teams still manage these ranges separately from on-premises address space, leading to overlapping IP addresses, routing failures, and long troubleshooting sessions.<\/p>\n

Infoblox connects directly to Google Cloud\u2019s internal range API<\/strong><\/a> to automatically discover Google Cloud Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) networks and IP addresses, so teams can manage both cloud and on-premises resources with a single console. This integration reduces manual work, enforces consistent IP policies, and detects conflicts early, streamlining network administration.<\/p>\n

Before deploying Infoblox, one large retailer\u2019s NetOps and CloudOps teams managed IP address space in separate systems. Google Cloud ranges lived in one tool. On-premises ranges lived in another. The result was overlapping addresses which can be the source of routing failures leading to long troubleshooting cycles. After rolling out Infoblox Universal DDI across both environments, IP provisioning time dropped by 30 percent. For the first time, the team could see every committed address block in one place. Blocks already assigned on premises were reserved inside Google Cloud, so neither team could hand out space the other owned. That visibility alone changed how NetOps and CloudOps worked together day to day.<\/p>\n

Cloud Number Registry (CNR) with Infoblox Universal DDI<\/h3>\n

At Google Cloud Next 2026, Google introduced Cloud Number Registry<\/strong><\/a>, its cloud-native IP address management (IPAM) service for Google Cloud. Cloud Number Registry<\/strong><\/a> gives teams a centralized, queryable view of address space, including utilization and free ranges, across VPC networks and realms. Paired with Infoblox Universal DDI, that visibility extends across your broader cross-cloud network environment beyond just Google Cloud.<\/p>\n

The initial benefit centers on discoverability of Google Cloud address IPv4 and IPv6 ranges alongside on-premises address space to expose overlapping IP blocks. Overlapping ranges are a common source of routing failures, outages, and long troubleshooting sessions. By combining Cloud Number Registry\u2019s automated discovery with Infoblox, you can automatically surface conflicts early and resolve them before they impact applications.<\/p>\n

In addition, Infoblox extends search and reporting to cover Cloud Number Registry custom realms and ranges. Instead of jumping between tools, you can answer everyday questions like \u201cWhat\u2019s using this range?\u201d or \u201cWhere do we still have capacity?\u201d directly from the Infoblox console, across Cloud Number Registry and the rest of your IP estate.<\/p>\n

These Cloud Number Registry integrations build on workflows that many enterprise teams already use today, including the Infoblox and Google Cloud internal ranges. As more and more customers adopt Cloud Number Registry, Infoblox and Google Cloud are deepening their integrated capabilities to provide a single, authoritative view of IP address management across cross-clouds and on-premises environments thereby simplifying on-going operations for these customers.<\/p>\n
