Certified Infoblox Engineer > Level 2
Level 2 Certified Infoblox Engineers (CIEs) must possess full capabilities to install and configure Infoblox network identity appliances. This level is available both to Channel Partner Sales Engineers and Network Administrators.
CIE Level 2 candidates must meet the following minimum prerequisites to apply:
- Network administration skills, with some direct basic configuration experience with Infoblox network identity appliances.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals, including IP addressing and sub netting, static IP routing, and a thorough understanding of TCP.
- Some basic familiarity with DNS and DHCP protocols and best practices.
- Familiarity with both command line interface (CLI) and graphical user interface (GUI) configuration of devices.
- If Channel Partner Sales, they must have successfully achieved CIE Level 1 status.
The steps to successfully complete CIE Level 2 certification include:
- Successfully participate in both a DNS/DHCP Fundamentals Workshop and NIOS Configuration Workshop.
- Pass both the DNS & DHCP Protocol and NIOS Configuration exams proving technical competency required to perform the tasks.
