Certified Infoblox Engineer > Level 1
Level 1 Certified Infoblox Engineers (CIEs) must possess the ability to install and provide basic set up and configuration of Infoblox network identity appliances.
CIE Level 1 candidates must meet the following minimum prerequisites to apply:
- Network administration skills, with some direct basic configuration experience with Infoblox network identity appliances.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals, including IP addressing and sub netting, static IP routing, and a thorough understanding of TCP.
- Some basic familiarity with DNS and DHCP protocols.
- Familiarity with both command line interface (CLI) and graphical user interface (GUI) configuration of devices.
Once these prerequisites are confirmed, Channel Partner engineers candidates may proceed through the following steps to successfully complete CIE Level 1 certification requirements:
- Successfully complete the NIOS Installation Tutorial with an Infoblox SE.
- Pass the NIOS Installation exam proving technical knowledge to perform the tasks.
- Receive an Infoblox SE's endorsement that they have demonstrated competency by successfully completing a customer installation.
