Certified Infoblox Core Administrators (CICAs) must possess full capabilities to configure Infoblox network identity appliances. This level is available both to Channel Partner Sales Engineers and Network Administrators.
CICA must meet the following minimum prerequisites:
- Network administration skills, with some direct basic configuration experience with Infoblox network identity appliances.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals, including IP addressing and sub netting, static IP routing, and a thorough understanding of TCP.
- Some basic familiarity with DNS and DHCP protocols and best practices.
- Familiarity with both command line interface (CLI) and graphical user interface (GUI) configuration of devices.
The steps to successfully complete CICA certification include:
- Successfully participate in both a DNS/DHCP Fundamentals Workshop and NIOS Configuration Class.
- Pass both the DNS & DHCP Protocol and NIOS Configuration exams proving technical competency required to perform the tasks.
