Integration between ElasticBox and Infoblox
ElasticBox has integrated Infoblox through the WAPI to provide three key benefits. The IP addresses for the virtual machines deployed in the vCenter cloud for the various applications can be assigned based on preferred pool from within Infoblox, already deployed in the enterprise. Structured naming through the DNS provides easier identification and debugging for virtual machines created upon application deployments. Additionally, IP address can also be used in creating access control policies for virtual machines.
F5 Networks and Infoblox have teamed up to provide customers with a complete DNS solution. As market leaders, respectively in the application delivery market and DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (DDI) market, we ensure superior DNS management capabilities, flexible intelligent global server load balancing, high performance scalable DNS, and complete DNSSEC signing for all zones. The solution is available today and offers organizations the opportunity to build authoritative DNS infrastructure without giving up either global server load balancing (GSLB) or DNSSEC.
F5 BIG-IP Global Traffic Manager (GTM) goes beyond real-time signing of DNS queries for DNSSEC and provides a more intelligent way to respond to DNS queries than simple load balancing among multiple data centers. BIG IP GTM distributes end-user requests based on your customized business policies using IP-geography, syndication rights data, data center conditions, network conditions, application performance, and more. This adds context to your application delivery decisions and results in better application performance, increased security, less downtime, and simplified management.
