Infoblox Receives Highest Available “Strong Positive” Rating in Leading Analyst Firm’s DDI MarketScope Report

Infoblox Inc., the DNS, DHCP and IPAM (DDI) market leader with the largest installed base of IPv6-ready DDI appliances, today announced it has received the highest rating of “Strong Positive” in the Gartner 2011 MarketScope for DDI products*. Infoblox achieved the highest score in the Strong Positive range.

According to Gartner, a “strong positive” rating indicates that a vendor is viewed as a provider of strategic products, services or solutions, with whom existing customers should continue planned investments and potential customers should consider a strong choice for strategic investments.

Infoblox pioneered the integrated appliance-based approach to DDI and helped build the commercial DDI market as evidenced by its more than 4,750 customers, including more than 210 of the Global 500. Infoblox is continually raising the bar in the market with solutions designed to meet forthcoming IPv6, DNSSEC, virtualization and cloud initiatives. Infoblox is also the inventor and sole provider of Infoblox Grid™ technology, which links a collection of appliances into a unified, centrally-managed platform that provides significant advantages for service resilience, scalability, real-time manageability and data integrity.

Steve Nye, Infoblox Executive Vice President of Product Strategy and Corporate Development commented: “Infoblox is continually pushing the envelope for excellence in the market – evidenced we feel by our strong positive rating in Gartner’s DDI MarketScope report and our many industry accolades that demonstrate our commitment to deliver highly valuable and innovative solutions for our customers. This is especially critical today as new pressures, such as the explosion of IP addresses, IPv6 and virtualization, are driving the need for commercial DDI solutions with real-time management, essential resilience and integrity attributes.”

Infoblox was one of seven vendors evaluated in the report. Evaluation criteria included: marketing execution, product/service strategy, customer experience, overall viability (business unit, financial, strategy and organization) and geographic strategy.
