DDNS update to foreign DNS server

Hello,

I want to migrate a foreign DNS zone to Infoblox. First step is activate DHCP on the Infoblox for this network. DDNS update should be sent to the foreign DNS server and  is configured in the following way:

ddns-updates on; option domain-name "xxx.net"; option domain-name-servers 172.x.x.1; ddns-domainname "xxx.net";

If the client starts the DHCP cycle, the Infoblox tries to send the DDNS update, but is timed out. connection to the DNS server is o.k. an nsupdate is also o.k.

Automate bulk DNS record change for migration to new external IP block?

I couldn't find anyone with similar problem via search, so I figured I'd start a thread...

We are currently preparing to migrate from our existing /24 public IP space provided to us by our ISP to a new /24 block that we own. The problem we're facing is that we have 20+ authoritative zones externally on our Infoblox appliances that have DNS records pointing to IPs within the  the ISP-provided /24. We opened a support case with Infoblox and the response was to use the API to script this. Has anyone had to do this before?
