FindIT is very easy to use as a database search tool. But it's also quite easy to bury a NetMRI with a search string that unknowingly produces many thousands of matches, resulting in a UI timeout. The Advanced Search option for "show interfaces and neighbors" can be deselected to cull this by 1-2 orders of magnitude, but it defaults to ON.
Proposed:
1) Change the default setting for "show interfaces and neighbors" to OFF.
2) Provide a Settings -> Advanced boolean to set the default as desired.
3) If possible, while performing the search operation, pop a dialog warning that continuing may result in excess of XXXX matches.
[Lou, we last talked about this a year ago.]
